Sir Earle Page returns from eleven month mission

Sir Earle Page, Federal Member for Cowper, has returned after an eleven month mission abroad. He secured aid for Australia's defence and a stronger voice in Empire councils. Prime Minister Curtin asked him to join the War Cabinet and Advisory War Council. During his absence Anthony and Abbott covered his duties, and he plans to meet electors personally to discuss the war and domestic issues.

First Sydney march of returned Middle East veterans

About 3,500 veterans of Middle East campaigns will march through Sydney on Saturday morning, marking the first march of returned service members in the city.
