Briefs for Barristers Servicing Overseas in Parliament
The Attorney-General said in the Legislative Assembly that he was sending briefs to barristers serving overseas so they could earn at least half the fees. MP Williams questioned whether many barristers had enlisted overseas and were losing ground in their profession. Martin replied that several colleagues had enlisted and noted 15 or 20 briefs were issued to barristers abroad, including the son of the former Minister for Transport.
