Charge of Cattle Stealing at Armidale Sessions
In Armidale on Monday October 16 1989 the case of Newlyn Hicks charged with stealing two calves from Alice Ann Duff was heard. Witnesses described unintentional branding and cattle ownership disputes with Calves found unmarked and later identified. the jury found not guilty and the calves were ordered to be given to the police for disposal to a patriotic fund.
