Many men believe savings accounts are for women and children only. Business men with widespread payments need not avoid savings. A savings account is useful and convenient for money accumulation and earning interest on funds that would otherwise idle.
The Gloucester A H P Association held a Friday eve meeting with President Dawson and numerous members present. New committee member William Faston joined. discussion covered band show plans, donations from Returned Soldiers League and Mrs Newton, cloak room funding, and postponement of a proposed annex until Farley returns. agricultural topics included grassland and fodder conservation competitions and funding considerations.
The meeting discussed a maize competition with five entrants and a 1 prize funded by A. H. and P. Association. Entries close November 6. A bid to expand booth price regulation at shows was proposed after New South Wales shows feedback. For the camp draft, donor Arthur Tate offered a prize and two running days, with council support for two runs per day if cattle could be secured. Trotting events were in early planning with potential prize slips.
