After a scorching day the Gloucester District Tennis Association ball enjoyed a large crowd. Men wore espadrilles and light trousers while women favored ballet flats and cool frocks. the hall was colorfully decorated and features a tennis net stage. Trophies for the season were presented by Deputy Shire President Gr J N Channda with Mrs Channon in attendance. Proceeds were forecast around £50 to aid the new district tennis clubhouse at Gloucester Park.
