On September 27 a major sports meeting was held at Callaghan's Creek drawing crowds from Gloucester Krambach Giro Cooplacurripa Wingham Mount George and Dingo Creek. Judge H. R. Lee from Oxler Island presided as events produced Keen competition and humorous moments. Open Stock Draft won by S. Bridge Giro with L. Carter and S. Bridge second. Maiden Draft went to G. Brice George Bradney of Krambach died at a private hospital in Wingham at 55. He was WWI veteran awarded the Military Medal and twice mentioned in dispatches.
