Englishman’s Fiji mining deal makes fortune with royal flip

Mr W G Lawler arrived by the Monterey and recounted a Fiji venture begun with 320 he spent on a 200 acre Tavaua field claim. He bought it for £20, later sold for £210,000 plus 30,000 fully paid shares in the flotating company. The tenth share now he claims is worth about £60,000. He plans to go to Melbourne then England to secure his interests and visit his parents.
