Crossing repairs and river labor offer to council

The Gloster Shire Council discussed L C Attwater’s offer to contribute labour for two Manning River crossings at about £40 and to maintain Glen Ward Road cuttings for four years if £100 is spent on four crossings. An engineer’s report was ordered. Reports followed on infectious diseases, staff appointments, and local labour use for sewer work.

Council to press on finishing unfinished trenches

Council members urged action to compel contractors to complete unfin ished sewer trenches in Sellicks Lane Hume Street and other sites. They noted delays over rock classification and warned of damage to council property, with plans to inspect all work and require prompt completion.
