At a large meeting of the Bank of New South Wales Sub-Branch of the Returned Sailors Soldiers and Airmen's Imperial League of Australia on 24 March 1942 a resolution was adopted condemning Minister for War Organisation of Industry statements about bank staff enlistment. It argues most officers serving overseas have no pension rights, urges government to recognize service, and calls for forwarding the resolution to the Prime Minister and the League for action.
