Coronation seats scam dupes London buyers
A London message reports Lord Leverhulme telling the Aldwych Club that a man sent 60 shillings for coronation seats at 30 shillings each and later received two camp stools. Police say no action is possible as ads described the goods. It is learned another victim paid £6 for two seats.

Bullock Rescued After 36 Hour Swim in Yarra and Bay
A bullock swam for 36 hours in the River Yarra and Port Phillip Bay before being hauled ashore at Port Melbourne. Officials and a Harbour Trust boat battled the animal as it resisted capture, finally being tied to a post. The bullock escaped into the river twice more before being driven away by a truck at Prince's Pier.
