Gloucester's 28th Annual Show in Rainy Weather
Gloucester's 28th Annual Show faced heavy rain and showers yet drew a strong attendance. Officials reported gate tallies of L141 14/6 on day two and L 22/3 on day one, with the event officially opened by Mr. GE Bennett MLA. Sections covered Junior Farmers, jams and jellies, wood carving, needlework, and extensive pig and poultry exhibits, highlighting Tamworths, Berkshire, Large White, and Jersey stock with notable wins by Mrs. Bond, Mr. Crowther, and Mr. Rankin.
