Mr J W Hughes Federal Deputy Commissioner of Taxation announces a 1944 wage deduction scale starting 1 April 1944 overriding prior employer payments for the year to 30 June 1943. Certificates delaying deductions expire 31 March 1944 with refunds on excess deductions up to 1 March 1944. Some employees may obtain exemptions to July 1944 with refunds upon statutory declaration.
