Gloucester Shire Council Holds Monthly Meeting

The Gloucester Shire Council met in the Shire Chambers with President Councillor Higging presiding. Attending were Councillors Sheddon Corbett and Laurie. Lowrey was absent. British pilot Arnold Chadwick's escape from Belgian raid

Flight Sub. Lieutenant Arnold Chadwick, involved in the October 2 raid on Zeppelin hangars at Brussels, landed in Halland after a motor defect. Stranded at seven in the morning, he sought a means to reach Tirlemont, then dodged pursuit until a German car intervened, aided by a disguise and a cap, guiding him toward the Dutch frontier after weeks of hiding.
