Laurie to the Department of Local Government about alleged irregularities by ex-Dr Wilson, noting it as unworthy of notice. Reports on sewerage were satisfactory, bus service refusals were debated, and Fogg’s fare structure for school transport was explained in detail. A public holiday for Gloucester Show was granted, crossing and footpath improvements were discussed, and road issues at The Bend and local signage for Gangat District were considered.

Road repairs urged on flood damaged artery

A council meeting pressed urgent work on a frightful road in heavy traffic with demand for immediate repairs and proper drainage. Reports noted excessive ramp costs and debated actual installation pricing while residents urged substantial fixes rather than patched work. The Works Committee was tasked to inspect roads and place pipes where needed, with Craven Creek gates and culverts raised for formal action. Medical figures and gang labour were discussed, including payment for local workers and proper coordination with council oversight.
