Annual Meeting of Lower Hunter Gloucester District Core

The Lower Hunter and Gloucester District Core of the Primary Producers Union held its annual meeting at the Pas toral Chambers West Maitland with Mr A W Fraser presenting a report noting active participation from smaller branches and apathy in larger ones. Delegates including Mr J Fitzgerald and Mr Ralston attended. Mr Dunlap and district secretary also joined. The council backed more branch meetings, farming inquiries, and experiments, including tuberculin testing, pasture improvements, and butter substitute warnings. The financials showed a healthy balance of 687 pounds with 800 pounds on fixed deposit despite extraordinary referendum expenditure. Officers were elected: President A L Fitzgerald, vice presidents G V Ralston and A McKae, secretary treasurer A W Fraser, auditor S W Skillen.
