Tragic Car Death at Rail Crossing in Hoss Glen
Mr. George Bulley of Roas Glen died Monday after his car stalled at a railway crossing near his home. He and his son and grandson were present when he tried to move the car. he was struck by a northbound train, with his death pronounced at the scene and body sent to Taree.

Motor Cyclist Fatally Injured in Collision in Wingham
Lionel Vincent Carter, 21, of Pultney Street Taree, died after his motorcycle collided with a car at the Dingo Street Farquhar Street intersection in Wingham. He was an employee of Manning Shire Council. The crash occurred Saturday afternoon about 4:45. An inquest will be held. Sergeant E W Figures led inquiries.
