A large wedding in To's church united Vic Schmierer and Miss Schmierer. The ceremony featured music by Phyllis Abbott and a reception at Corlett's room. The couple departed for a Blue Mountains honeymoon and will reside in Melbourne.
The A H P Association held a meeting to fix the Gloucester Show for Friday and Saturday March 25 and 26, with President J R Higgins noting a prior Wauchope conference setting the dates. Stroud agreed to move to April to avoid clashes, while Wingham and Kempsey aligned with the others. The secretary J Matthewson announced resignation due to work pressures, and the group discussed finances, membership drives, and the need for a telephone at the showground. A letter of thanks to Mrs Higgins and helpers was approved, scrutineers were appointed, and the next meeting date set for July 19.

A public meeting in Copeland led to the creation of a Parents and Citizens Association. Officers named include Pastor B. Martens as president and Mesdames A. Wells plus J. C. Webeck as vice presidents, with Miss D. A. Davey secretary and Miss R. Marsh treasurer. Nineteen members enrolled to fund school requisites and sporting gear, plus social activities. A dance at the Copeland School of Arts will raise funds, with cards and supper for non-dancers.
