Gloucester電 rural electrification subsidy report
Gloucester Shire Council Electrics Engineer F Lowe reported on rural electrification work in the Barrington River area Avon Valley and Gloucester River areas. Mr Hine of the Public Works Department said subsidy payments should not be delayed for completed Barrington River works. The Avon Valley Stratford section could gain subsidy by including several government property residences and Stratford sites. if some do not join, the subsidy would be adjusted. The extra seven domestic connections would add about £350, and the council approved including the amount in capital expenditure.

East West Highway Discussion At Gloucester Shire Council
The Forster Chamber of Commerce asked the Gloucester Shire Council to back a new coastward link via a Dubbo to Tunecurry route. They urged presenting the case to the Minister through the local Member and called for government support to realise the benefits. The council later sought Department of Main Roads proclamation for a developmental road from Rockhurst to Carter's via Conecac and Benny's Top to Tomalla, improving direct access to the coast.
