Empire Day Celebrations At Barrington Raise Big Interest
Barrington reports a large turnout for Empire Day with fine weather in the morning and heavy attendance despite afternoon rain. The day featured a prize distribution for each child, a lively dance in the evening, and acknowledgments from the Parents & Citizens Association for trophies and support. A social honored Dr Forsyth and Crick Club figures, with speeches praising sporting spirit, and a remarkable magpie nest made entirely of wire noted nearby at the show ground.
