Air actions and Paris open city plan reported
The Air Ministry says RAF reconnoitred northern Italy and struck military targets. RAF raids in the Middle East hit aerodromes in Libya and Egypt. Paris disputed: German forces near the capital and French counterattacks north of Paris drove back the enemy five miles. France declares Paris an open city and vows to fight on both in front of and behind Paris. Italy reportedly sent an ultimatum to Egypt.

Where Turkey Stands In The 1839 Treaty Provisions
The October 1839 treaty between Britain and France and Turkey obliges Britain and France to aid Turkey against European aggression.
