Gloucester Chamber Plans Highway Petition Campaign
At a Gloucester Chamber of Commerce meeting on Tuesday night the group arranged for signing a petition to realign and bitumen seal the highway between Gloucester and Taree to highway standard. Petitions will be available at polling booths on Election Day June 17 throughout Gloucester and Tinonee subdivision. The petition will be submitted to the relevant Minister after the new government takes office. Bert Bourke, a timber-getter from Stroud, was injured Monday falling from a tree at Chelgrove mill in Bullahiedah, suffering a torn ligament and sprain to the left ankle.
