Early Irish colonists' roles in Melbourne politics a long list
A fragmentary list traces Irish-born figures who shaped Victoria's governance and culture from the mid 19th century. It names governors, jurists, editors, and politicians such as Sir George Bowen era figures, Crown Prosecutors, ministers, attorneys general, and university benefactors with scattered notes on births, arrivals, and careers across Melbourne and Sydney.
