Giro Picnic Sports at Empire Day on Giro Racecourse

A successful Empire Day gathering at Giro racecourse drew attendees from Gloucester Curracabark and as far as Waleha about 60 miles away. Twenty six events including horse racing and athletics featured large fields, with prizes donated by local merchants. Evening festivities at Bona fide hosted dancing, music by Messiah Smith and Bell and a waltzing trophy. committee members and hosts praised for their hospitality and plans for more events.
