War era show society keeps faith with district
The Annual meeting of the local A H and P Association reported a £55 balance, with subscriptions and ground rent key income. Members debated reduced dues during wartime, with a motion to cut the annual subscription to 10 shillings during the war and while no show is held, and discussed man power on farms and potential release of workers. Office-bearers were re-elected and sympathy shown for grieving members.
