Australian beef growers study in Americas return to Sydney
Messrs FLL and A L Bragg of New South Wales, after visiting North and South America to study beef raising, sail back to Sydney aboard the Ormonde. Bragg runs 8000 sheep and 1000 cattle at Aberdeen and believes California offers a good outlet for Australian beef. He notes U S markets funnel top beef to Chicago and Kansas City before reaching Atlantic coast cities, while Westerners prefer good frozen Australian beef over midwestern second-grade chilled cuts. He also toured Peru, crossing 18000 feet over the Andes, but found the terrain unsuitable for stock.
