Woman Trader Shot For Giving Plans To Turkish Office
From the Petit Parisien comes a tale of a Bulgarian officer’s wife of high standing who betrayed Bulgarian mobilisation plans to the Turks. She did so to aid a Turkish Legation officer she loved, handed him documents, and both were captured when the war began. The Turkish officer and the Bulgarian wife were executed by special court martial, and the husband died in the storming line at Kirk Kilissi. Also a long advertisement for Scott’s Great Summer Fair in Newcastle runs.
