Tomato growing expands on the North Coast districts
Tomato growing in districts from Nambucca to Coff’s Harbour advances scientifically with over 200 growers joining associations for industry protection. The Nambucca River district could become a major tomato center, eight associations linked to the Central North Coast Tomato Fruit and Vegetable Growers’ Executive Association. A forthcoming season will feature a tomato growing competition with promised prize money and agricultural instructor A. T Pinn invited to judge trials.
