Markable memory and fast travel change campaigns

Holiday Time at Forster Grows Buoyant Crowd

Forster welcomed an unprecedented influx of visitors from across New South Wales and beyond including Victoria and Queensland. Private homes became guest houses, camping reserves filled, and tents lined backyards as holidaymakers enjoyed favorable weather, fishing, and outdoor recreation. A notable Boxing Day event was the Hawaiian ball at Forster Hall organized by Mrs Q Thompson to raise funds for the Forster School of Arts, drawing about 130 couples and many more in attendance. The night featured decoration, music by the Savoy orchestra, and lively crowd energy, with Mr Oscar Thompson as MC and Mrs Thompson receiving praise for orchestrating a successful, festive gathering.
