The Mayethly branch reports on the Country Women's Association meeting agenda for December, including the annual meeting and a tea. Officers and members listed attend, with notes on secretary’s report, fundraising, and future plans for land purchase and community projects.
The report notes activities involving Mrs B Hooke as president, Mrs Flannery presiding, and mentions petitions and a tea event. It states the next meeting will be held in Arbo on Tuesday 12H Toby, with members and intending members urged to attend.
A garbled personal notice lists numerous individuals and families tied by ties of marriage and kinship. The fragment names many men and women, with multiple households and locations, but coherence and full context are missing, yielding an incomplete roster of names.
A report discusses the Housing Commission and the Minister of Housing in New South Wales detailing their administration, progress, and policy aims. It notes numbers of houses under construction, the role of builders and co operatives, and calls for broader home ownership and government support rather than socialisation.
A crowded Dungog track hosted a December 22 program with strong fields and lively betting. Results list multiple handicaps with short margins and times around 60 to 125 seconds, noting winners such as Maidan Wandicaps and various placegetters, amid vivid bookmaker activity and a large crowd.
A self donations story notes a doll donated by the donor herself at the Averestil dance held in Kin Ore on December 1.
