The Upper Hunter Pastures Protection Board ordered the Railway Department to eradicate rabbits on sections of the line between Scone and Murrurundi within six weeks or face prosecution. A rabbit inspector cited a railway employee reporting 590 rabbits removed from a warren near Wingen.
