Gloucester Shire Council approves grant and road plans
Gloucester Shire Council held its regular meeting with full attendance. The Local Government Department approved a grant of £4000 and a £500 loan for Upper Pigna Barney road, contingent on plans being submitted for Chief Engineer approval. The Board discussed Main Roads gravel issues and the need to expeditiously spend the North Coast main road grant. They debated engineer assistance for Waukivory and Pigna Barney works, and agreed to pursue impounding officer approval to curb stray stock within a 12 mile radius.
