Tribute to the Late Pte Terry Paff

A wartime letter from Lieut Healey informs Mrs B Path of the death of Private Terry Paff in action in New Guinea. It recalls Paff's gallantry on December 14 1944 and December 15 1944, his position on the extreme flank, sole attack against Japanese forces, and his death from wounds after directing fire to prevent heavy casualties. The note notes his platoon’s honor, the burial beside others, and the promise of a photograph and medal details once available.
