Rain interrupted play but Keith Merchant scored 181 for Bar rington in a standout innings at Gloucester Oval earning the club a cricket bat. Hee Wilson and Monro led Barrington’s bowling as Thistles and Barrington both drew. FIRST GRADE matches at Park No 2 ended in a close draw between Wattles and Stratford with John McIntyre top scoring 33 not out. Thistles vs Barrington also ended in a draw after Barrington posted 220 and Thistles were 2 for 149 at stumps. SECOND GRADE saw Ward's River defeat Barrington 157 to 90 with G Gam 49 and C Martin 42 among the top scores.

Englishmen Dominate Second Test At Sydney
England posted 426 for six after declaring on 80 all out for Australia in the first innings. O'Brien top scored 87 not out for Australia in a collapsed innings, while Australia bowled out for 80.
