Rain interrupted play but Keith Merchant scored 181 for Bar rington in a standout innings at Gloucester Oval earning the club a cricket bat. Hee Wilson and Monro led Barrington’s bowling as Thistles and Barrington both drew. FIRST GRADE matches at Park No 2 ended in a close draw between Wattles and Stratford with John McIntyre top scoring 33 not out. Thistles vs Barrington also ended in a draw after Barrington posted 220 and Thistles were 2 for 149 at stumps. SECOND GRADE saw Ward's River defeat Barrington 157 to 90 with G Gam 49 and C Martin 42 among the top scores.
