Gloucester P P Board discusses uniform dog bonus and stock reserves
The Gloucester Pastures Protection Board met at Shire Hall Gloucester on November 27 with Directors Willson Abbott Tiscume Laurie Higgin Andrews Summersville and Raston plus Secretary Newton and Stock Inspector Moore. They debated matching the Maitland Board on a 10 shillings dog 5 shillings pup bonus but kept current funding. agreed to inform Maitland and the chief veterinary surgeon and to avoid any immediate increase due to finances. They reviewed acquiring reserve land near Lewis Parish and near Coolongolook and objected to water and camping reserve 48195 at Reedy Creek, favoring retention of the main stock water road. A reserve for Rawdon Vale stock movements was discussed with various directors supporting a Cat Hill to Farley Bros land exchange or a laneway right of water to improve stock transport. The board approved deferring fencing Cat Hill and planned inspection, and considered dividing the district into four divisions. Impounding officer position was not filled at present, with a drover to impound stock if needed. Also permission to cut poles on the T S Route between Robin and Blands was requested.
