Cooperative butter and cheese trade fusion discussed in Brisbane
In Brisbane on the 12th and 15th of the month the Directors of Queensland farming cooperatives met to outline a movement toward consolidating marketing interests. Australian and New Zealand leaders spoke on fusing cooperative marketing on the London market, noting Britain’s growing reliance on butter from these Dominions. Approximately 75 percent of Queensland butter and cheese exports go to Great Britain, with plans to push a direct consignment policy under joint control.
