Scotland Trip Letters From Hugh Amid Highland Welcome
Mrs R Laurie of Suwendoo Station passes along letters from her son Hugh touring with the Scottish Delegation. The notes recount visits to Australia House and the Army and Navy Stores, receptions at St James Palace, Edinburgh Castle, and Holyrood, and a grand pipe band contest. They describe travels from London to Newcastle, Edinburgh, Dumfries, Glasgow, Loch Lomond, and the Highlands, with wreaths, ceremonies, and warm welcomes everywhere.
