The Manning River District annual meeting opened in Arc o f ia Hall Wingham under District Master Dr J Clone with officers named. Delegates from Hope of Copeland Belmore Commonrraith Wingham Union United Moorland Wynnumng Pride of Busbarra and many lodges answered the roll as the district aims to stabilize the cooperative movement and recruit new members.
Speaking to the report Bro Clase sok notes that 12 months into T’s term the district had 24 Lodges and two sub-branches with over 1 million members. Now 7 Lodges remain with a single sub-branch and over 1,600 members. He cites progress under his leadership, calls for enforcement of fund rules, and explains travel and lodging expenses borne by District Officers.
District officers report shaky finances with promised grand lodge grants needed to cover annual meeting costs and propaganda work. New appointments reorganize lodges across Port Macquarie region, three new branches opened, two members hospitalized but continuing lodge plans, progress urged and adoption supported.
