Packed Public Meeting Condemns Gloucester School
A large Gloucester public meeting at the School of Arts, led by Shire President Dr L Moore and attended by MLA R L Fitzgerald and representatives of twelve local organizations, denounced the poor school facilities. Speakers cited 36 young children in a draught corridor, 65 first class pupils with 1 teacher, and 23 kindergartners unable to enroll, demanding immediate kindergarten classes, two temporary classrooms, and potential use of Army huts if needed.
