Wingham stock sale finds heavy yarding at 220 fats

Paterson Easton and Co report a large turnout at the Wingham sale held on Thursday 2 April. Buyers from local and outside areas attended as Sydney rates and holidays trimmed prices by 10 to 15 shillings. Best bullocks reached £10 7, steers £7, cows £8 2, and vealers £7 1, with numerous individual lots across buyers including R Cutler, J J Gibson, Abbott Bros, E Moon, A McPherson, and W Wallace among others posting varied prices for bullocks, cows, heifers, and calves.

Winchcombe Car Fon’s sales noted 11 bullocks to 11 pounds 10 shillings, average 10 pounds 12 shillings 1 pence.
