Son charged with murder in New South Wales bush killing
Police say 79 year old John Edward Charles was found murdered in a bush near Glossodia, Windsor district. His son Cecil Farmsworth Charles, 53, a returning soldier, was arrested on a charge of slaying his father after a crudely made mattock was found near the scene. The elder Charles had arrived in Glossodia to visit his son and was last seen alive on Monday afternoon. The body showing head wounds was found Tuesday morning by a local search party aided by a black tracker. The son, questioned earlier, remained in custody at Windsor police station. Deceased valued at about £6000 with his will being investigated.
