Dungog Show Opens With Glorious Weather And Big Gates
The Dungog Agricultural and Horticultural Association held its annual show from Thursday to Saturday on a fine show ground. Large crowds attended, and Saturday gate takings rose £30 10s 6d above last year, reaching a record for 41 years at £111 12s. The three day total was £296 3s 0d, up £28 5s, with strong entries across sections. Hon. E S Spooner opened the event, praising dairy farming and district shows, and urging support for agricultural societies.
