Rationing warning on C coupons for children's tea
Acting Director J B Cumming warns that illegal use of C coupons to buy tea for children would be detectable when old books are checked for new ones. He says C coupons cannot be used if the child is under nine, and traders who accept Cc coupons are just as culpable as the tenderer. Inspectors will verify each child’s age on ration books at tea purchases.
