Terry Fox Run in Glenboro Raises 2800 for Cancer Research
The Glenboro Terry Fox Run raised about 2800 for cancer research across two events the school fundraiser and Sunday camel run. The school contributed about 2100 with 33 participants and the Sunday run added roughly 700. Organizers Mr Metcalf and Mr Newton were praised for their work. T shirts are available at 15 each in sizes adult large and x large. Registration for the Seniors Bus Trip to Oak Hammock Marsh costs 18.50 with meals and admission extra.

Two Vehicle Crash Sends One to Hospital Near Cypress River
A half ton truck driven by Rudy Kovar of Glenboro and a late model sedan driven by Corinne Gillis of Cypress River collided at the Oliver School corner south of Cypress River on Monday morning. Gillis sustained injuries requiring hospitalization after the eastbound truck struck the driver's door. Both vehicles were extensively damaged at an uncontrolled municipal road intersection.

The Glenboro Tourist Booth run by the Glenboro Community Development Corporation term ended after July and August. Operator Marie Stephenson managed 51 days with 12 cars daily and 3 people per car. A total of 1869 visitors came, including 4 from Europe and 10 from North Dakota.

New owners plan November opening for Glenboro store
Don and Chris Tanasichuk of Churchill have bought the former Fallis Sports & More building at Railway and Broadway in Glenboro. They will stock new items and maintain an Experienced Goods department. Aiming to open in November with Saturday hours continuing for now.
