Charlotte Oleson MLA for Gladstone officiates the ribbon cutting at Glenboro to open the Spruce Woods Inn dining and lounge expansion. Eleanor Rihal and husband Singh stand nearby. The Rihals completed renovations and hosted a brief Oct 8 ceremony with Glenboro Mayor Eugene Ehnes and Mrs. Oleson in attendance. The Common People provided entertainment.

Craft & Hobby Market Set for Glenboro This Saturday

The annual Craft and Hobby Market will be held at Kinsmen Community Hall Glenboro on Saturday October 16 starting at 10:00 a.m. Exhibitors include Wiebe Altona pottery Musselwhites Minnedosa woodwork Trembath Cartwright clocks and frames Mrs Baillie Killarney acrylics M A Carels copper sculptures Mesdames Warren Nash crochet knitting Mrs W Joelson knitting and Melba Elliott candy. The event features baking clothing ceramics jewellery knitted crocheted sewn crafts and more with lunch served by the Glenboro Kinettes. The market closes at 4:00 p.m.

Nordics Join Tiger Hills Hockey League in 1982

Glenboro Nordics to compete in a new Tiger Hills Hockey League with teams from Baldur Belmont Wawanesa Carberry Cypress River Crystal City Holland and Glenboro. League enforces five game suspensions for penalties and one year for a second offense. Nordics meet Oct 7 1982 at Glenboro School to elect officers led by President Jack Hamilton.
