Glenboro 4 H Variety Club elects officers
The Glenboro 4 H Variety Club held its first meeting on November 20 with members from Pony Sewing Exploring and Pee Wee Clubs. Kelcey Gillingham and Ayla Clemis named president and vice president with Kaytlin Brock secretary Vicki Haner treasurer Cassandra Outhwaite and Dayna Prost as reporters. Member dues are 10 dollars. The group will attend a min rally January 10 at Carberry Collegiate and plan a Valentine party replacing Christmas. Achievement date set for April 28 and lunch duties at the halls December 6. The next meeting is December 11.

Mail Strike Could End Soon Affects Gazette Delivery
Canada Post employees started a strike last Wednesday evening, with continued stoppage at press time. The Gazette will be delivered to area post offices for new shipments and Stockton subscribers may pick up at the office while awaiting possible back to work legislation.

Pearl Queen's Quilt of Memories wins third at provincial quilting
Pearl Queen of Glenboro earned third place in the Manitoba Association of Agricultural Societies Provincial Quilting Competition held November 14 at the Royal Oak Inn Brandon. Her queen size quilt, made from remnants, took months to assemble with careful color balance and movement.

Glenboro Advisory Council Minutes November 1997
The Glenboro Advisory Council for School Leadership met November 19 1997 in the school library at 7 30 p m. Present were Tony Martin Michelle Wytiick Beth Diehl Donna Fillion Mary Ann Craig Rosalind Kelly Cheryl Tomlinson Kathy Noel Janice Robidoux Gudrun Mowat Sandi Fink and Sharon Prost. The general meeting kept the same executive for one more year with a chair and four community members still needed a Contact Committee was formed to find volunteers for these roles. Beth Diehl became Public Relations representative. Principal Mr Martin praised recent school event involvement and noted the NTV launch is delayed until September 1998 with the tower due by then. Honor Roll for Senior Years was posted near the office. Babysitting Course delayed to spring 1998. 4-H club started with 12 members. continued on page 2.
