Arts Association Dinner to Feature Eugene Kostyra Speaker
The Tiger Hills Arts Association hosts a December dinner at the Holland Community Centre with guest speaker Eugene Kostyra Minister of Cultural Affairs and Historical Resources. Performances by Dance One Sixty members Joost Pelt and Elizabeth Anne Todd and singer Henry R Peters accompany art exhibitions by Naline Almas Jamie Arnett Sharon Gowryluk Henry Pittet Peter Sawatzky and Walter J Phillips Woodcuts and Wood Engravings from the Winnipeg Art Gallery. Seniors Host Turkey Dinner for Glenboro Kinette Kin Sites
Seniors aged 70 and over in Glenboro enjoyed a turkey dinner on November 17 at the Kinsmen Community Hall hosted by the Kinette Club with help from the Kinsmen Club. About 130 guests attended followed by entertainment including gymnastics by Mrs. Sharon Prost students, violin by Crystal Plohman, the bird dance by Golden Agers, and music by The Group band. Winners included Etta Aitken Rod Jackson Walter Radcliffe Ena Barr and others. Gordon Nairn celebrated 40 years of marriage.

The Glenboro and District Wildlife Association elected Fred Jackson as President Wayne Davidson as Vice President and Jack Gowanlock as Secretary Treasurer. Over sixty members attend with deer head judging scheduled November 30 and Awards Night December 7 awarding trophies for duck goose grouse deer head and fish. Members urge action to reduce wounded deer and elk hunting and will send a resolution to the Manitoba Wildlife Federation in Winnipeg.

Manitoba 4-H Leaders Attend Toronto Conferences
Eight Manitoba 4-H members returned from Toronto where they joined delegates from all provinces for the National 4-H Members Conference under the theme 4-H Challenge in the 80s. Five Manitoba leaders attended the National 4-H Volunteer Leaders Conference to boost leadership skills and share ideas. Both events were co sponsored by the Canadian 4-H Council and sponsors Blanco Products Division Eli Lilly Canada and Pioneer Grain Co. Ltd.
