Golden wedding anniversary celebrated at Glenboro Open House
Mr and Mrs Gestur Davidson of Glenboro marked their 50th wedding anniversary with an Open House Tea at the Tig Davidson home in Glenboro. The couple, married November 23 1921 in Winnipeg, have four sons Edwin in Denver Albert in Vancouver Walter in Edmonton and Elwyn in Glenboro. District Produce Fair Highlights 1971 Treherne Event
The 18th District Produce Fair in Treherne on November 13 1971 drew 40 exhibitors and 4 H members from Treherne Holland Glenboro Bruxelles and St Alphonse seed clubs. Walter Drummond opened the fair as director since 1954. Winners included Mrs Jack Wheeler Treherne for the Grand Champion Bird and Roland Devos St Alphonse for New York dressed champion bird. Breeders from Treherne and nearby towns won honors in poultry hog carcass and seed classes. A Santa Claus parade is planned for Glenboro December 11 with a skating show and candy for children.
