Dr Rutherford, ex MP for Macdonald, was in town briefly on Wednesday. J B & B Mathers moved into Vincault house, formerly F W Young’s. Many young men left for lumber and wood camps this week. G H McBride and Jas Christie were bound for Winnipeg on Monday. W Young and family moved to Cypress River. he plans winter in lumber woods. R C Irving of Winnipeg, County Court Inspector, visited Glenboro last week and praised the local County Court Office. The Annual Meeting of the Glentoro Agricultural Society will be held at the Town Hall on Monday Dec 10 at 1 p m for officers and business. A Farmers’ Institute meeting was held at J O O F Hall last Wednesday. Alf Doig presided. S A Bedford of Brandon Experimental Farm spoke on Lessons to Be Learned From This Year. He was followed by G C A Murrey, Provincial Dairy Commissioner, on dairying.

Death of Mrs. Alex Card in Glenboro Community
Mrs. Alex Card, respected resident of Glenboro area, died after two weeks of typhoid fever and a subsequent heart failure. Born in Whitechurch York County Ontario in 1835, she married Alex Card in 1855 and lived in Scott township before moving to Manitoba. A devout Methodist and active missionary worker, she supported women’s societies and lived with Christian patience during a long illness. Survived by husband, five children, and many relatives. funeral held with Rev. J J Crookshanks officiating and wreaths from local societies and friends.
