Dr Pol Morton explains the family plans to relocate back to Ireland to be near relatives. He notes that after years of moving, the decision centers on reuniting with grandparents and ensuring their children know extended family. Glenboro is described as the nicest place they have known.
The November 7 1995 Glenboro Village Council organizational meeting appointed D E Foster as Administrator for 1995 96 and appointed committee chairs deputies and various officers and boards including Public Works Sanitation Finance Welfare Police Fire Cemetery Library and Hospital boards. Two residents express happiness with Glenboro and plans to recruit doctors before May 1996.
Members of the Manitoba Pool elevators in Glenboro and Cypress River met at the Glenboro Legion Hall on November 15 for their annual meeting and reports. New district director Jim Wilson was welcomed, with elevator reports by Dennis Lafreniere and Garth Stephenson noting 3700 tonnes and 11 545 tonnes handled respectively, plus 107 cars shipped. Stephenson highlighted 55 cars carrying Warburton wheat for an English contract at 5.60 a bushel net.
