Foord-Kelcey’s Men’s Wear moved last week across the street to the former Marshall-Weiss Store in Glenboro. The re modeled shop launches an eight day Official Opening Sale starting Thursday with daily merchandise draws. Steve Foord-Kelcey has run a men’s and boys’ wear business in town for 21 years and urges continued success.

Hilton 4-H Club Meets and Plans Holiday Events
The Hilton Combined 4-H Club met November 13 at 8 pm in the Hilton Community Hall. A Pony Club hoof trimming demonstration is set for November 20 at R Blaine’s, with two Pony Club members attending a light horse clinic in Brandon on November 17. The club will attend Recognition Night November 30 at Ninette Legion Hall and plan a Christmas Concert for December 22. A fundraising committee was formed and the next meeting is December 11.

Junior Music Recital Welcomes New Members
Friday evening Mrs Jack Rutherford hosted the Junior Music Club offering solo and duet numbers. New members Natalie Bund Wendy Steppler Marilyn Jeffries John Gillingham Cecile Cummings Darwin McFarlane Corinne Rutherford Irene Pinkerton were welcomed. Guests enjoyed games a film and a lunch.

Senior Music Club Recital at Mrs Rutherford Home
The Senior Music Club held a Monday recital at Mrs J Rutherford’s home. Members sang and played numbers and demonstrations featured new electronic machines. New members Tricia Elliott Heather Hallgrimson and junior club recruits were welcomed. Lunch concluded the enjoyable evening.

Education Highlights and Activities in Glenboro Area
Parent interviews were held Nov 12 with good turnout despite stormy weather. Junior and senior fit le teachers visited Glenboro Cypress River and Belmont for interviews and will meet in the evenings after school. The senior student council hosted a successful dance at the ICCF Hall with Music by Watermelon. Gratitude was expressed to parents and to chaperones for the dance and to staff for supervision. School pictures were sent home Monday with a due date of Dec 3 and envelopes must be returned if not purchasing.

Elvina Jamieson opened a jewellery and gift shop in Glenboro on Friday November 16 drawing 156 visitors for a look around and coffee. Door prize winner was Hansina Bjorns on with Ron Drapack drawing the ticket. The shop on Railway Ave between the Bakery and Pharmacy offers watches, diamond rings, crystal, china, ceramics and metal serving pieces. This new business is welcomed by local merchants.
